This is Cool!

What color eyes might your children have?

**Disclaimer: If you have an aversion to looking at eyes (Dr. J, this will not be a problem for you. One Hot 'Sista, don't even think of looking on this site...pictures of eyeballs everywhere!) you might not want to visit the link above.

I need to find out what color TC's parents' eyes are...

hrmmm...okay, i am going to look but as I recall from medical genetics and molecular biology, eyecolor is the result of many many genes interacting, which is why it is so difficult to predict with any kind of accuracy. that said, WOOT!

okay, that's just cool.

I've seen this...it says 50% chance of blue (same as DH) and 50% chance of green (same as me). Still cool, though.

cool site, but i'm with anne....it's not that easy to predict.

that having been said...i'll have to ask C. what color his parents' eyes are. (no. i don't always notice)

Ok, I understand all the genetic stuff that goes into eye color (and hair color and webbed toes or not...) 'cause when I was in high school, I wanted to grow up and be a geneticist. You can see how that turned out...

That was pretty nifty. I also studied genetics oh so briefly...
blah blah blah... complicated... but this is still cool.

Apparently, even with both hubby and having eyes that are DIRT BROWN, this thing says we still have like an 7% chance of having a blue-eyed child at some point. Not with baby #1 though! he came OUT with brown eyes. Didn't even have the blue eyes babies usually start out with!
