Bags are ready

I have my bag and X-man's bag packed in preparation for impending birth. And this time around, my bag doesn't have nearly as much stuff as it did last time...I have a better idea of what I'll actually need.

And you can bet that I've got TC's red vines in the bag!!

I do think I'll bring my boppy as an added pillow help for when I nurse Miss A.

I didn't find the boppy to be at all helpful for nursing at home and I wouldn't suggest it for anyone. But in the hospital bed, I'm hoping that it will help prop her up a bit more than those pitiful hospital pillows did last time. And I'm pretty sure I was at my personal allotment of pillows.

I've got X-man's bag packed with two sets of clothes, some pajamas, a sippy cup, diapers and I'm going to put some snacks in the bag in case he goes to a friend's house who doesn't have children. I don't have any toys in there yet and I probably will make an exception to the "teddy doesn't leave the house" rule just this once. It is a special circumstance.

But what I'm really hoping is that Miss A will come on her due date because my parents are already planning on coming that weekend and then I wouldn't have to worry about who's going to take care of X-man.

But we all know what they say about the best laid plans...

So exciting!!

Taking the boppy in is a good idea--they certainly don't give enough pillows at the hospital, especially since they are all so flat! I really do like the boppy for nursing, so maybe you'll find it more helpful this time around.

I wish I would have thought of the boppy for Max. It would have made things a lot easier, especially after a c-section.

Also, I just thought about the fact that Max was due on the 9th. He didn't show until the 15th, so hopefully you won't have to wait that long.

I loved my Boppy pillow - I plan to take mine, too. I guess I should pack my bags in about 3 weeks or so. The baby will be here 6 weeks from Wednesday.

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe Avery's arrival is coming up so quickly!! I am so excited to hear about her birth and to see pictures of your first daughter. How wonderful!! You should stop by and say "hi" to the girls on BBC! Here is the link: http://boards.babycenter.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&webtag=bcus4238&tid=3559
