Be Crazy!

Be crazy...that's the code phrase TC came up with that I'm supposed to tell him when I feel like something exciting's happening with the baby. After our appointment on Friday, he got a little jumpy at all my little noises and quick breaths. Well, Little Pebble was quite wiggly and was kicking me in my ribs!

So, he said, "How about you just tell me when it's time to be crazy and then I'll worry about your little noises. Let's make 'Be Crazy' our code phrase."

"What are you going to do when I tell you that?"

He then waved his hands in the air and hollered like a goober! He makes me laugh all the time!

Last night I thought I was going to have to use the code phrase. At about 11:00 pm, I got a super menstrual-like cramp. I've had cramps worse than that one, but still...OWIE! But I didn't have another one, so we figured there was nothing to worry about right away. Then I woke up about 1:00 am with another one. I decided not to wake up TC unless I had another...it didn't happen. So, I went back to sleep.

Then, at 4:00 I woke up again with another one. I woke up TC with my squirming. About 20 minutes later I had a cramp again. TC said, "It's been 20 minutes." I'm glad he can see the clock. I can't see it unless I put on my glasses or get my face right up in the clock! About 20 minutes later, I got one again. TC informed me of the time frame. I didn't sleep that whole time. I kept thinking about who I would need to call if I did go into labor today. I've got a meeting, a stamping party after work and a friend that might meet me for the stamping. Sheesh...the things that keep me awake.

I haven't had any more cramps this morning and I'm not even sure if I was having contractions. The doctor's office has to call me to tell me when my next appointment is since their computers were down on Friday. I'll have several questions to ask when they call...I'm sure I won't be the first to ask if I was actually having a contraction.

If you start having contractions, drink a big glass of water and lay down on your left side for a while. Sometimes, if you are dehydrated, that can cause contractions. Sometimes drinking something and resting will make it stop.
