Believe it or not...
I actually made edible gravy! The previous (three) times I've tried, it's always looked just like wallpaper paste. Yuck-ola.
I made chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. The steak was good, but the oil was a little too hot so the breading was a little too done. The gravy was good and the potatoes were delicious as usual.
I'm so proud of myself...doesn't take much.

I'm proud of you too! I don't even attempt to make gravy!! LOL
The hubby saw a neat tip off Food Network about when the oil is ready for use. Take a wooden spoon and insert the handle into the oil. If the oil sizzles around it, then it is ready to go!!!
Of course my fav of yours is the parmasean breadsticks!
