More Crochet

I have finished another baby blanket for a girlfriend of mine. She's set to be induced in three weeks! This will be her second little girl!

The pattern is a super easy granny rectangle. I think it turned out really pretty. And I love the little flowers I crocheted for the bag!

What a beautiful blanket you made! I am impressed! I really wanted to learn how to crochet so I could make a blanket for Eli. But, now I am running out of time. Any tips, books, etc you would recommend where I could learn? Is it very difficult? Great work!!! :)

Jess, I learn better by watching. Maybe there's a local yarn store that would have classes or someone who would be willing to teach you. The Lion Brand Yarn website has a good tutorial... http://learntocrochet.lionbrand.com

It's pretty easy to learn once you get the basic chain stitch figured out.

^starshine is also quite adept at crochet. She might have some suggestions for resources!

Thanks!! :) Wish I could fly you or ^starshine over to Seattle for a tutorial! :) I will check out Joann Fabrics or Michael's and see if they have some sort of classes. It would be a neat hobby to pick up...especially with a baby.

Oh wow! Is that just one big granny square? I started working on a blanket *months* ago - little granny squares - but I don't think I'll ever finish it. One big granny square though? I may be able to tackle! Where'd you find the pattern?

I love the flowers, do you have a pattern for those??? I want to make some for my SIL! Also, a pattern for this would be awesome, or at least just the stitches for pattern, I can figure out the size on my own ;) Thanks!
