Happy Birthday, Honey!

TC got to spend his birthday going to the pediatrician's office, going to the pharmacy to get more baby tylenol and snuggling with the sick boy.

Thankfully, X-man does not have an ear infection...yet. He is running a low-grade fever and his throat was red when the doctor looked at it. They did do a strep test and that came back as negative. So, X-man just has some virus that has to run its course. The doctor did say that with X-man's history of ear trouble, it is possible that this virus could cause a flare up so we just have to watch him. He has started to cough which is a little troubling, but we'll watch him!

He did act like he was feeling some better today. Tonight, though, he mostly was a lump in TC's lap. When we fed him dinner, he almost fell asleep in his high chair. With the exception of one time, I've never seen X-man be so tired that he just falls asleep wherever he his...unless we're purposely tring to rock him to sleep.

Hopefully he'll sleep well tonight. Last night he woke up at 12:30 and I could rock him back to sleep, but he would wake up as soon as I put him in his crib. So, at 1:30 I asked TC if I could bring him to bed. We don't do this very often because I don't think that any of us sleep very well. But X-man did get some sleep and boy was he a little radiator. He was so cuddly and just hugged me while he slept. I can see how people like co-sleeping. I did get some good sleep, too, apparently because I felt pretty rested when I got up this morning.

We're hoping X-man is better tomorrow because my parents will be here this weekend. We don't have big plans for New Year's...and I have no doubt that I will be asleep when 2007 finally rolls in!
