His own brand of sign language

Yesterday morning while I was talking to my parents, X-man came up to me and pointed to his lips and just "dotted" around his lips with his finger. It wasn't his usual sign for wanting something to eat, but I asked him if he was hungry or if his mouth hurt. Neither one elicited the big grin and affirmative noise he makes when we get it right.

I told him I didn't understand, could he show me what he wanted? He grabbed my shirt (where I had to explain that it's not nice to pull clothes, take my hand please) and had me get up off the couch. And in his cute little toddler run/walk, he went back to mommy and daddy's bedroom.

What does this kid want?

He went straight to daddy's dresser and started looking...for daddy's chapstick! TC keeps his Burt's Bee chapstick either in his pocket or on the dresser and X-man knew that! Since daddy had taken his to work, I gave him a tube of my chapstick and that seemed to appease him.

X-man likes to carry around daddy's chapstick and "put" it on his lips. He hasn't figured out how to take the lid off...yet.

He just cracks me up!

Ok, that is the cutest thing I've heard in a long time.

And your picture farther down the page? You look great!
