Language Boom

I'll tell you what, we have apparently hit the language mother load around here! X-man has been saying words like a house-a-fire!

Not all of the words end up going in regular rotation, but at least he's trying to say things.

Like yesterday. I was putting up the groceries and he picked up the avocado. I said, "X-man, please put the avocado down." And he looked at me and said, "Cado." He only said it a few times more, and then wouldn't say it again.

Due to Thanksgiving and visiting with both sets of grandparents, he now knows what "more" means. It means more cookies, more milk, more coffee (yes, he loves coffee), more playing time before bath, more bath playing before bed...etc. And when he says it, it comes out "mooh" and out of the corner of his mouth. No doubt that word will get used alot now!

And last night, during his bubble bath, he kept talking about the "buh-bah." He loved those bubbles! He'd scoop them up with his hands and put them on his cheeks. And he only tried to lick them off his lips a few times before deciding that wasn't a yummy snack.

Something I notices with Victoria's words... If I tell her what an object is, then tell her to say it, she'll just stare blankly at me. But if I identify an object, then ask her, "what's this?" she'll almost always tell me. Kids are weird! Glad to hear X-man's getting more vocal (tho sometimes I'm not sure that's a great thing, either!)
