I am in a fog and other issues...

I'm on week 4 of my first pack of these new (to me) birth control pills. They're a progesterone-only pill (since I'm nursing) and all of the pills are active. This means I'm not really sure when the "excitement" happens with these pills. I can only hope that it's soon because I've been in a serious fog the last few days.

Yesterday morning, TC poured a bowl of cereal for me, a small bowl for X-man and a bowl for him. I looked at the spread on the counter and said, "What are you going to eat?" I clearly couldn't recognize that there were three bowls for the three solid-food eaters in the house.

Then, this morning, I called the pharmacy to refill my pills. The automated system said that it was too soon to refill. What? I had less than one week left! I'd just call when they opened and have them override it and get it all squared away. The pharmacist checked my prescription and said, "We filled that Saturday."

"Hm...that's weird!" I said. "I'll just pick it up later today."

Except I had called it in on Saturday and had picked it up and it was in my bathroom!

Seriously, TC was a littled worried about me being alone with the kids today. I don't blame him!

Buttercup had her two-month check up today and they were able to add a little time to my appointment so the doc could check out X-man's crazy rash.

His rash? Most likely due to extra acidic poo. But there is one little spot that looks like a bacterial infection so I've got a prescription for some cream for that. And the poor man's solution to the eat-your-skin poo he has is to wipe his booty with Mylanta after each dirty diaper. A little weird, but it makes sense.

On to Buttercup's appointment:

Height - 22.5 in (50%tile)
Weight - 10lb 4oz (25%tile)

Everything looks great...except her ears. Infected. And we don't know if it's a new one or a continuation of the last one, so we're trying a different antibiotic this time.

This is hauntingly familiar.

As the pediatrician sad, though, there are much worse things we could be dealing with than ear problems!

And Buttercup got her immunizations as well as a new rotovirus vaccine. Let's hope that one works! Roto-poo is Y-U-C-K-Y!

You aren't taking the mini-pill are you?? Since you are the daughter of Pharmacists, you probably understand the ins and outs of it like making sure you take it everyday at the same time...blah blah blah.

Just in case your memory fails you, be reminded of the fact that I got preggers with Zoe while taking the mini-pill...

yeah, i took the mini pill and you have to make sure you take it at the same time every day. if your memory is still foggy, you might want to have back-up...

i don't remember being in a fog when i took those, but maybe that happens when you have two kids. :)
