More Funnies

This morning when X-man got up (a 7:15), I was in the living room (with Buttercup who was already awake...grrrr). I had a recording of last night's Olympic Swimming on the TV and X-man said, "Oh, loooook! Olymp-licks!"

After that, he noticed that Buttercup was in my lap and he came over to give her a kiss on her arm. That's his kissing place of choice for Buttercup. He kissed her and she just smiled and giggled. X-man said, "She smilin' back atchoo!" We still have to work on the you/me conundrum.

After kisses, he gave her a hug and started singing, "I wuv yoo, a bushel a peck anda hugga round a neck." Love it!!

Then during a diaper change, X-man touched my hair and said, "Mommy's hair got nasties in it." Now, I do put hair gel in my hair, but I wouldn't consider it nasty! I hink that someone at school must use that word because I don't think that's a regular one in my vocabulary.

On the not so funny side, I've been taking a nursing break today and feeding Buttercup with expressed milk in a bottle. She's done something crazy during nursing that has me dry, cracked and peeling. And I am in tears when she nurses. I stil have some pain while I'm pumping, but I hadn't really considered an infection until someone on one of my mommy boards mentioned it. We're going to see how tonight goes when I do nurse her. I've been really impressed, though, with how well she's taken the two bottles today!
