COO and PMP

Ok, the news has gone through the appropriate channels, so the word is out...

My last day at my job will be February 10th. From there I am going on to be the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the household and I'll also be the Primary Meal Provider (PMP). So I made up that last one...

I was a little nervous about telling my boss that I wasn't coming back to work. She was very excited for me, happy that I was going to be able to stay home and take care of the baby, and said that she pretty much guessed that's what I was going to do.

Now I just have to keep from going stir crazy. Thankfully, there are several girls in my Sunday School class that are also COOs of their house. I can probably get together with them often.

And we've already decided that the first week after the baby's born, TC's going to stay home with me. The next two weeks, my mom's going to come up and stay. Then TC might spend another week after that. We'll just have to see how it goes.

I am so excited about staying at home!

P.S. We are watching the Rose Bowl (Hook 'Em!!) and saw the B1 fly over at the opening. The B1 came from Dyess AFB!!

Martha, I'm so happy for you to stay home with your baby! It's so worth it, for you and especially for your baby! Having Colby stay with you and then your mom will be awesome. You will definitely want to have them around those first few weeks as you adjust. And getting with other moms and just getting out in general is very good. We'll have to hook up some time! I like your PMP name. I'll have to start calling myself that, although now Eli is on rice cereal too. Ok, now I'm done with my encyclopedia entry. :)

Let me just tell you...the first couple of months, you will probably wonder where the time went!

My day zips by so fast I can't even begin to wonder where it went.

And all I've got to say is UT better not screw this game up!
