Plumbing update

Our tub can now function as a shower or a bath tub! How fabulous is that? And it only took the guy 30 minutes to fix it and didn't require breaking any tiles!

But I'm not taking X-man into the bath with me until he can hold his head up. He's too squirmy and I'm afraid he'd be like an oiled pig in there!

You can bring him in the tub with you if his cord has fallen off (and the circumcision site, if any, has healed). I brought Freebird in the tub with me all the time. The trick is to keep one hand suds free while you hold him, and to have someone help you lift him out onto a towel. The bather and the drying off person should be two separate people, especially if you're recovering from labor and standing up is a challenge!

I was in the tub with the Bird all the time, as was Hubby. We still do it if we have time. Don't worry - it's a lot of fun.

Thanks, Sarah! If you say it can be done, than it can! =)

We'll have to try it. I'll remember the tip about the one suds-free hand...

I bathed with mine a lot too. As a matter of fact, Ruby never ever used the baby tub. I usually kept a washcloth over their backs to help keep them warm too. Nursing in the tub was great. I'd keep a pile of towels on the floor outside the tub and lay them on that and wrap them up before I got out.
