Of Shoes and Ships and Sealing Wax...

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. We did...though it's so quiet in the house without X-man! For a few more days, the adults will outnumber the children!

We bought X-man a full sized bed this weekend. He's not sleeping in the toddler bed (the crib with the front taken off) because he falls out of it. So, since he's gone, we went ahead and converted his toddler bed into an adult full bed (the front and back of the crib turn into the headboard). Well, it's so high off the ground, he's gonna need a step stool to get in! And we got a bed railing to put up on the open side of the bed. So, hopefully that plus more room to wiggle will get him to sleep in his bed. Either that or he'll never sleep in a bed again!

We also went ahead and bought a potty seat that sits on the floor. I have been really hesitant to get one of these because I just do not want to clean out poop. But, with this on-the-floor model, he can sit on it by himself...I have to pick him up to put him on the potty seat that sits on the big toilet (the boy-shield is too tall for him to straddle over). We'll probably wait to use this for a few weeks. X-man comes home on Saturday and he'll have a new bed to get used to. Then on the next Monday, TC leaves for Seattle for 4 days. So, we'll wait until after TC gets back and X-man is settled into his new bed before we do potty training for real. And I want to remove the gate from his doorway...but again, that'll be a month or so down the road.

And I want to start getting Buttercup to sleep without being swaddled...so much to do...
