Today's temperature...

My temperature this morning was nice and high...now let's hope it stays that way!

In other news, I got asked to be on the board for the local chapter of my professional organization. I'm pretty excited about that! However, I'm jumping right in to the position of Vice President of Legislative Affairs. Ugh. I don't much enjoy paying attention to government, laws, legislation, etc. Yes, I vote, but I just don't find any of that stuff interesting. Guess I'm going to learn, huh?

May gives way to June. Where have the months gone? It seems like just a few weeks ago it was New Years. I haven't been to the gym near enough.

Hopefully I'll be able to go tomorrow...

Positive!

I didn't post any this weekend due to visiting family and I'd much rather visit with them then stare at this computer any day. I don't have to wear my reading glasses to visit with my family!

Saturday I took OPK test number 17 (I'm running my own experiment to see if I even ovulate during my cycle...it'll be helpful at my next doctor's appointment). You'd have thought it was a pregnancy test the way I got so excited at seeing it positive! So, essentially, I should ovulate in the next 24 to 48 hours after a positive OPK. If my temperature stays the same as today or higher, then I'll actually get a solid coverline. I'll be in the two-week-wait. Maybe I'll even have a BFP when I go to my next dr's appointment. That would be great!

I've got my fingers crossed...

Today is Friday...

Pretty much every Friday I get this crazy song in my head. I learned it in kindergarten and it stuck. I have a tendency to remember things better when they are put to a song. So, here is the song...

Back to my cinnamon crunch bagel (that got some onion bagel on it!!!).

Lost Package...

I mailed my friend in Kansas City a package last week. It had a study book and a CD in it...along with a pretty handmade card. She never got it. The delivery tracking information says that it was delivered; none of her neighbors have seen it; I think it's gone. We'll see how far I get on putting in a claim for a lost package...

I've just talked to the DHL lady, who was very nice and helpful, and they are going to refund my shipping cost. The book didn't really cost me anything and the CD was a copy of one I had, I didn't feel comfortable asking for a reimbursement on more than the shipping.

Whoopie...

What fun. A hypnotist. My church had a music appreciation dinner this evening for the music ministry. It was very nice! We were all served dinner (several classes volunteered to serve the meal), the food was great and they have strolling singers. It was a very nice affair and we all feel appropriately appreciated. Then they let out the big guns...our entertainment was a hypnotist. Now, I know that the planning group (or was it just the one lady?) put a lot of time into this, and I thank them for that. But a hypnotist? Ok, some of it was kinda funny and I laughed a few times. But it was just weird...hypnosis in a church...

I have also learned that my friend Dr. J is not the only one that stumbles across odd websites. I found this one today. I am trying to eat better (as in healthier, not heartier), but this is just too much. Who wants to eat fluffy mackerel pudding?!?

Off to bed. I have an early morning tomorrow...

Lunch Break!

Only a few more minutes before my lunch break is over. I just finished reading A Wrinkle in Time. It was a great book! I can't believe I read it as a kid...there was some heavy stuff in there! I need to remember to pick up the next one (Wind in the Door?) when I get home. Otherwise, I'll be stuck reading the business paper at lunch tomorrow!

These people have too much time on their hands! A little disclaimer: You probably don't want to open the one about the print cartridge at work... I haven't gotten through all of them yet and I really like their highly scientific research methods.
